3. Amplify PEO

There are plenty of PEO providers in Virginia, and the industry has seen something of a boom in recent years. However, Amplify PEO is the third and final PEO provider to make this list, and it’s not without good reason. It has proven its worth across the past decade by dealing with medium-sized businesses in a range of industries, and it would make a great option for Virginia companies seeking help with HR workloads, paperwork, and recruitment.

One of the main reasons why Amplify made it on this list is due to its excellent customer service track record. Just missing out on a top 3 position is Justworks, a PEO company that has made big waves in Virginia across the past ten years. Their rise in popularity has come about as a result of their excellent HR services – Justworks will ease your paperwork burden, take care of your payroll, and stay on top of all your recruitment, insurance, and compliance needs, too. 

However, the one thing which makes Justworks really stand out from the crowd is their unprecedented level of transparency. Many PEO companies in Virginia will hit you with all kinds of hidden costs or opaque percentage-based fee structures once you’ve signed up. Justworks have a brilliantly transparent way of charging their clients, and it makes a huge difference to Virginia businesses dipping their toes into the world of PEOs for the first time. The reason they didn’t make the top 3? That comes down to the fact that, as far as PEO firms go, Justworks is still very much a newcomer on the scene. With a few more years under their belt, they’re sure to be a much more serious contender for the top spots.

Ten years really isn’t a long time in the PEO industry, and being such a young service provider, Infiniti HR simply hasn’t had the time to really establish themselves on the scene. Nonetheless, they’re well worth looking into and getting a quote from, and they’ll surely do a great job of saving your Virginia business time and money. 

6. TriNet

Thanks to over three decades in the PEO industry, TriNet has managed to carve out a powerful reputation in Virginia, serving businesses of all shapes and sizes and assisting with the full array of HR-related tasks. However, I’ve noticed that when it comes to innovation and forward-thinking PEO approaches, TriNet really doesn’t have anything particularly impressive to say.

Oasis has experienced a great deal of success and forward motion in their twenty years of experience, and it’s resulted in the firm being acquired by PayChex, with whom they’ll be able to expand their operations further. Established and successful – what’s not to like? Well, after a bit of investigation, I managed to find a considerable downside that I reckon makes them a less attractive option for Virginia businesses like yours. 

The main issue I have with Oasis is that once you sign up for their Virginia PEO services, you’ll be locked into a 12-month contract. This seems really out of step with contemporary business norms, and most Virginia businesses will prefer a more flexible month-to-month contract arrangement. If you know for sure you need a long-term PEO partner, they’re surely a decent option. However, if you have even the slightest doubts regarding where you’ll be in a year’s time, it’s probably better to opt for another.

Therein lies the big drawback with Insperity. This PEO firm looks great on the surface – they’ve even got a very attractive flexible cancellation policy, which is a really attractive prospect to those using a PEO for the first time. However, they only work alongside one healthcare insurance provider, immediately putting them at the bottom of my list of recommendations.

Without multiple options for healthcare insurance benefits for your employees, you’re going to lose a lot of your competitive edge in the employment market by going with this PEO. As such, I can’t recommend Insperity for Virginia businesses, as your staff deserves the best insurance plans available.
