12 Best West Virginia Registered Agent Services (2024 Review)

12/03/2024

Choosing the right West Virginia registered agent (a.k.a. resident agent or statutory agent) for your LLC or corporation is vitally important.

The right West Virginia registered agent will protect your personal information and keep it off the public record, ensure that you never miss a Service of Process or legal notice, and protect your personal and business assets from frivolous lawsuits.

The wrong West Virginia registered agent will be careless with your personal information, making it vulnerable to hackers and cybercriminals. They will fail to adequately perform the duties a West Virginia registered agent must to properly servce your LLC or corporation, which could result in legal problems with the West Virginia Secretary of State or your business losing its good standing status and no longer being able to legally conduct business in the state of West Virginia.

To find the best West Virginia registered agent, I investigated over 60 different registered agents in the state of West Virginia, rated the top 12, then wrote thorough reviews on the best three. Here are my choices for the best West Virginia registered agent:

1.Northwest Registered Agent—9.13/10 (Best Overall Registered Agent)

Northwest Registered Agent is the best West Virginia registered agent service or statutory agent. They provide all the basic registered agent services that your LLC, corporation, or business in West Virginia needs to meet the West Virginia state registered agent requirements.

Pros

Northwest Registered Agent’s West Virginia registered agent service will meet your business ’ s needs by providing all the basics and a bit extra.

They provide all the registered agent services typical of West Virginia registered agents for your LLC or corporation, including a registered agent’s name and address in West Virginia, someone to accept Service of Process and official mail, notices, or legal documents from state agencies (such as the West Virginia Secretary of State) during business hours, and mail forwarding. And they will list their contact information rather than your own with the Secretary of State, as a registered agent must.

You’ll also get several extra services that you may not have even known you wanted for your business. Northwest Registered Agent scans ALL your mail (not just the legal documents and Service of Process notices) and uploads it to an online system for you to access 24/7 with an online account. They issue compliance filing alerts or annual report reminders to keep your LLC or Corporation in good standing with the Secretary of State as well.

Northwest Registered Agent is not only a commercial registered agent service, but also a national registered agent service. This means that they have a registered office address in all 50 states, so they can support your LLC or Corporation if it expands to a new state.

Their sign-up process is simple and easy to get through, and their online system is easy to learn and to navigate. Once you’ve signed up for an online account you can not only access your legal documents and mail from the system, you can also sign up for registered agent service for multiple states or for multiple years at discounted rates.

But the real reason that solidified them as my #1 choice for best registered agent in West Virginia is their customer service.

Though the customer service teams of most West Virginia registered agents will typically only answer questions about their registered agent service or help walk you through technical problems with their online system, Northwest Registered Agent’s customer service team goes the extra mile.

Of course, they’ll answer questions about their West Virginia registered agent service and solve technical issues regarding their online system or your online account. But they also offer small business support.

Northwest Registered Agent’s customer service team is made up of people who are from and based in the United States, all of who have had experience in the business industry. They are all former accountants, entrepreneurs, business owners, and lawyers who actually know the answers to the questions you have about your LLC or corporation.

Business advice of this caliber can cost $5,000 per day, so Northwest Registered Agent’s fee of $125 per state per year is not an insignificant value. And you get lifelong access to this top-rated customer service team included in that price.

Cons

There’s only one negative thing that can be said about Northwest Registered Agent’s West Virginia registered agent service. While their comprehensive approach to customer service is a breath of fresh air in most situations, it can be a real pain when you’re pressed for time.

There were a few times that I called their customer service to get a quick answer about their West Virginia registered agent service or their online system and they asked more follow-up questions than I had time to answer.

There’s no way to call their customer service team to ask a quick question and get a quick response so you can get back to your workday. In some of these instances, it’s simpler to just Google your question.

This is really only a small knock against Northwest Registered Agent’s excellent West Virginia registered agent service, though, and it’s not something that happens often. You’ll enjoy their comprehensive customer service most of the time.

Overall

Northwest Registered Agent provides the necessary services to meet their registered agent requirements and your LLC or corporation needs, as well as several extras for only $125 for their services.

They don’t offer any premium services like identity theft insurance, but their service package and price are unmatched by any of the other West Virginia registered agents on my list, and their customer service is the best in the registered agent industry.

If you need a West Virginia registered agent that will provide your LLC or Corporation with a slew of service offerings, lifelong access to a great customer service team, and a fair fee, check out Northwest Registered Agent today.

2.Harbor Compliance—7.92/10 (Best Budget Registered Agent)

If you want a more cost-efficient option for your West Virginia registered agent service, or you don’t want all the “extras” that Northwest Registered Agent provides, Harbor Compliance is a good second choice for registered agent service because they charge $26 per year less.

Pros

As far as services go, Harbor Compliance offers the standard services to meet the West Virginia registered agent requirements of the West Virginia Secretary of State.

You’ll get a registered office as the point of contact for your LLC or corporation, a physical address in West Virginia, an agent who is available to receive Service of Process, mail, documents, and any official notice that is sent to your business during regular business hours, mail forwarding, and compliance filing alerts or annual report reminders.

They also provide document scanning so that you can access any legal notice, Service of Process, or documents that are sent to your business the same day they’re received through their online portal with an online account.

On top of all that, they’re a national registered agent, so they can support your LLC or Corporation if it expands beyond its West Virginia state origins. As such, they offer discounts if you sign up for registered agent service for multiple states or for multiple years.

Cons

Harbor Compliance does a good job at executing all their West Virginia registered agent services, but none of their services are truly remarkable.

They provide most of the services that are typical of a registered agent in West Virginia, but you won’t find many extras or premium services.

And while their customer service team can answer any question you have about their West Virginia registered agent service, their online system, or your online account, you won’t get the same level of customer support that you do from Northwest Registered Agent’s customer service team, and they won’t answer any business questions you have about your LLC or corporation.

So even though Harbor Compliance offers good services, they aren’t great.

Overall

Harbor Compliance offers all the registered agent services that your Limited Liability Company (LLC), corporation, or other business entity needs to remain in good standing with the West Virginia Secretary of State, and they do it for the lowest fee on my list, but they don’t offer any “extras” that make this price really stand out.

If you’re sure you want to trade away Northwest Registered Agent’s exceptional registered agent services to save your business $26 per year and you need a West Virginia registered agent, you can check out Harbor Compliance here.

3. LegalZoom—6.59/10 (Best Premium Service)

Although LegalZoom is third on this list of best West Virginia registered agent services, it is my first choice for the best premium registered agent in West Virginia. They stood out as the best among a sea of unsavory premium registered agent service options.

Pros

The benefit of choosing LegalZoom as your Limited Liability Company’s registered agent is that theirs is a name known throughout the business industry. They have a great reputation for providing the business services they advertise and guarantee.

They offer many of the basic West Virginia registered agent services I have listed, such as providing your Limited Liability Company (LLC), corporation, or business entity with a registered office with a physical address in the state, someone to accept Service of Process and official notices, mail and documents on behalf of your company during normal business hours.

LegalZoom will scan the documents for your business in West Virginia and upload them to an online system so you can access them with an online account, and they will also forward your mail and compliance filing alerts to remind you when to file the annual report for your company to avoid legal trouble with the West Virginia Secretary of State.

Additionally, they will cover any filing fee associated with changing your registered agent service, and they provide up to $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance for your Limited Liability Company (LLC) or business entity. In our technology-driven business world, identity theft protection can offer a lot of peace of mind to many small business owners.

Cons

LegalZoom uses the fact that it’s a popular, well-known business to recruit new customers, rather than offering quality West Virginia registered agent services.

LegalZoom focuses primarily on their online legal services, which consist of templated legal documents for businesses. This means that their West Virginia registered agent service is largely overlooked. Their customer service team is not as knowledgeable about their West Virginia registered agent service as it should be, and their online system could use optimizing.

Furthermore, LegalZoom charges $299 for their premium registered agent service. It’s easy to assume that the addition of identity theft insurance justifies this price.

However, there’s a difference of $176 between their fee and Northwest Registered Agent’s, and it’s typically not that expensive to purchase identity theft insurance. So you could easily hire Northwest Registered Agent as your Limited Liability Company’s registered agent, purchase identity theft protection for your LLC or business from a third party, and still save money.

Overall

LegalZoom is a popular company known throughout the business industry for their online legal services and templated legal documents for businesses. However, their premium registered agent service isn’t the value that other registered agent services on this list are.

If you’re already using their other business services, want a premium registered agent service for your company, and would like to consolidate invoices, they may be a good option, but the convenience will cost you.

If you’d like to pay more than is necessary for identity theft protection from a West Virginia registered agent service, you can read more about LegalZoom here.

4. ZenBusiness

ZenBusiness is an LLC formation service and registered agent in West Virginia. They offer all the basic West Virginia registered agent services that you need for your Limited Liability Company (LLC) or business, but they charge a premium price for basic registered agent services, which is confusing to the average consumer.

For $199, their West Virginia registered agent service will provide your Limited Liability Company (LLC) or West Virginia business with a registered office and street address in the state, accept Service of Process and official documents from a process server, and receive your mail.

They will also ensure that you receive any legal notice that is sent to your LLC or business during regular business hours, help file the annual report for your company, provide online document access so that you can access the legal documents, such as Service of Process, sent to your business address, and forward your mail. They also provide compliance alerts to remind you of forthcoming filing deadlines.

They charge a premium price for the same services as Northwest Registered Agent whose prices are much cheaper.

This is likely because, as I’ve said, they’re primarily an LLC formation service, not a West Virginia registered agent service. But no matter the excuse, there’s no good reason for confusing price tier systems and expensive rates.

You can read about ZenBusiness here if you need a West Virginia registered agent that offers premium services. Alternatively, you can also read my full ZenBusiness review.

5. IncFile

IncFile is a registered agent in West Virginia that provides basic services at high rates.

They, of course, offer your company a point of contact office with a physical address in the state as your West Virginia registered agent, accept Service of Process from a process server and documents and mail on behalf of your business during normal business hours, and allow you to access the documents and Service of Process on their online system, and forward your mail.

However, they charge $119 for their West Virginia registered agent service, and you won’t get any of the quality services that you want for your West Virginia company (like compliance filing alerts to remind you to file the annual report for your business or identity theft protection), and you really should for this price. There are definitely better options for your West Virginia business on this list.

Visit IncFile's website here or read my IncFile review here.

6. Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer is a bit of a ripoff of LegalZoom and not much cheaper, and they don't offer any premium services.

For $149, business entities get a West Virginia registered agent office with a street address in the state, someone to accept Service of Process and documents on behalf of your company during normal business hours, and online access to your documents and Service of Process, as well as mail forwarding. That’s it. You won’t even get annual report reminders for this fee, so it’s not worth it.

If you want to learn more about their online legal services and products, read my complete Rocket Lawyer Review

7. SunDoc Filings

SunDoc Filings is a West Virginia registered agent that provides generic, bare-bones services.

Sundoc Filings provides West Virginia business entities with an address in West Virginia and a registered agent office, along with someone available to accept Service of Process and documents during regular business hours on behalf of your company, online access to your Service of Process and legal documents and mail forwarding.

However, they charge $159 for these basic services, and you won’t even get compliance filing alerts to remind you when to file the annual report for your West Virginia business for that price. You’re better off choosing a different West Virginia registered agent from this list.

You can read about Sundoc Filings and their West Virginia registered agent service here.

8. InCorp

InCorp was one of two West Virginia registered agent services that provided me with a bit of confusion when it came to rating them. This registered agent in West Virginia charges the same fee as Harbor Compliance—$99—and I listed Harbor Compliance as the best budget registered agent option in West Virginia.

InCorp provides West Virginia business entities with an address in West Virginia as well as a registered agent office complete with someone to accept Service of Process and documents on behalf of your West Virginia LLC or business entity during regular business hours. They also provide online document access, so you can access Service of Process and other documents sent to your company 24/7, and compliance filing alerts to remind you to file the annual report for your West Virginia business.

They even offer some extra features, such as identity theft protection to keep your business entity safe from cybercrime. And they’re a national registered agent with an office in each state, so they can service your company if it expands beyond the state of West Virginia.

Why is InCorp so far down my list if they offer all these great registered agent services for your business in West Virginia? Their online system is so clunky and counterintuitive that it’s basically user-unfriendly. Seriously, anyone in your office who is required to use this system will hate it.

There’s really no sense in paying budget prices for something that’s going to drive your whole office mad when you can pay $26 more and get Northwest Registered Agent’s reliable services.

Learn more about InCorp here.

9. Swyft Filings

Swyft Filings is a West Virginia registered agent service and LLC formation service. So on top of their West Virginia registered agent services, they’ll help you file the Articles of Organization and annual report for your business in West Virginia.

As your point of contact, Swyft Filings will provide your company with a registered agent office and address in West Virginia, someone to receive Service of Process and documents on behalf of your West Virginia company during business hours, online document access, and compliance filing alerts to remind you to file the annual report for your company.

Quite a few services that other West Virginia agents provide are missing from this list. For $149, you would think you would at least get mail forwarding.

Northwest Registered Agent provides more services for your business in West Virginia, and they charge nearly $25 less than Swyft Filings.

Read about Swyft Filings’ West Virginia registered agent service on their website, or on our full Swyft Filings review.

10. CSC Global

CSC Global is a premium West Virginia registered agent that offers your West Virginia business an office with a West Virginia address, receives mail on behalf of your business, and provides online document access. They charge $299 for these services.

The only “premium” service they offer is covering any filing fee that your company is charged when you file the forms to change to their registered agent service. However, the difference between their fee and Northwest Registered Agent’s is $176 and there isn’t any filing fee associated with changing your registered agent service that’s that high in West Virginia.

So you could easily hire Northwest Registered Agent and pay the filing fee yourself for less than CSC Global charges for their minimal services.

11. Registered Agents Inc.

Registered Agents Inc. was the second registered agent in West Virginia on this list to confuse me when it came to rating their services. They’re the only registered agent in West Virginia to specialize in registered agent services, which should mean they provide some awesome services that no one else is offering, right?

They actually offer pretty basic services for your business. They will provide your business with a West Virginia address, an office that accepts mail on behalf of your business, online document access, and filing alerts to let you know when it’s time to file the annual report for your business. They’re also a national registered agent with an office in every state, and they offer discounts when you sign up for registered agent service in multiple states once your business expands beyond the state of West Virginia.

So why are they so far down my list? They charge $200 for these services and they don’t provide any registered agent services that justify this extravagant price tag.

You can read more about Registered Agents Inc. here.

12. Jumpstart Filings

This is the last on a long list of registered agents who provide very little and charge way too much.

Jumpstart Filings provides a West Virginia address, someone to accept mail for your business, and online document access. As you can see, these really are minimal services compared to other agents on this list.

They charge $129 and don’t even offer compliance or filing alerts to let you know when to file the annual report for your company. That’s $4 more than Northwest Registered Agent, who provides services far superior to Jumpstart Filings.

If you’re really set on spending more than you need to on a registered agent service that provides bare-bones service, you can read about Jumpstart Filings here.

Registered Agent Review Summary

I investigated more than 60 different registered agent services in West Virginia, then ranked the top 12 of them. Northwest Registered Agent is my top recommendation for the best West Virginia registered agent.

They provide all the registered agent services your business entity needs, and you get lifelong access to their industry-leading customer service team for only $125.

They don’t offer premium services like identity theft or assistance, but they make up for it with their stellar customer service team and the priceless business advice they provide.

Best Registered Agent Review Methodology

During my investigation of over 60 West Virginia registered agents, I developed a four-stage process for determining which registered agent services were the best.

Why You Should Trust Me

You should trust my process for finding the best registered agents because I’ve had to go through this process to find a registered agent for my own two businesses.

There weren’t any guides or advice articles available to me when I began my search, so I developed this process out of necessity. I spent hours researching online reviews and sales pages to find out which services were the best and which weren’t worth dealing with.

Since launching my website, I’ve helped thousands of people find the right registered agent for their business (including close friends and family). Being able to provide help to so many people convinced me that my process was vital to the business world, and this process can help you just like it has helped thousands of others.

How I Selected the Best Registered Agent

The following four stages allowed me to determine which of the more than 60 West Virginia registered agents I investigated were the best.

Stage 1: Reviews

The first stage of my investigation involved reading online reviews for each West Virginia registered agent. I spent hours on sites like TrustPilot, Google, the Better Business Bureau, Facebook, and countless other review websites to find out what people were saying about each registered agent service.

The only drawback to this stage is that online reviews typically only cover the extreme ends of the service spectrum. Most of the reviews I read were of the “five gold stars” or “one star stay away” variety, so I felt this information on its own was a bit skewed.

To see the whole picture, I had to investigate each West Virginia registered agent further. This process also allowed me to eliminate nearly 50 noncommercial and commercial registered agents that use a deceptive pricing strategy that I found highly unethical (more on that below).

Stage 2: Website Analysis

Once I had a rough idea of what each company was like and had weeded out the obvious scams, the next stage was to analyze the websites of each registered agent service.

I visited each West Virginia registered agent’s website and reviewed its “about” sections, sales pages, and customer support channels to find out what services and products each registered agent was offering and get any necessary clarifications.

This left me with a 13-row, 24-column spreadsheet that allowed me to break down each West Virginia registered agent into their basic offerings and compare them to each other.

Stage 3: Speaking with Real Customers

After forming my spreadsheet and analyzing each registered agent’s website, the next stage involved reaching out to customers and asking them about their experiences with each service.

As previously mentioned, online reviews often give a skewed idea of what each company is like. The only way for me to see the whole picture of the average customer experience for each registered agent service is to reach out to their customers.

I accomplished this by contacting people I had previously helped find a registered agent for their businesses and hearing what they had to say. Did they deliver on promised service? What was the quality of each company’s products and services? How helpful was their customer service?

All these questions allowed me to get a clearer picture of the quality of each registered agent’s customer service.

Stage 4: Speaking with Their Sales Team

The final stage of the process was reaching out to each West Virginia registered agent’s sales team.

While sales teams are notorious for giving you biased information, it’s interesting and worthwhile to see how well the sales teams respond to feedback and whether or not they seek to improve their services.

To see how well they responded, I repeated to each sales team the criticisms I had found when reading online reviews and speaking to customers, making sure to take note of which teams actively tried to improve my experience and which shifted the blame away from themselves.

This allowed me to see what each company’s culture was like. Some teams sought to improve my experience and their service, whereas others often looked to blame their shortcomings on outside sources.

Rating Factors

After eliminating nearly 50 other noncommercial and commercial registered agents, I was left with a rough version of the list featured in this article. Once I had my picks for the top twelve registered agents for your West Virginia LLC, it was time to rank each of them according to the following five factors:

Factor 1: Offerings

There are a wide variety of products and services available to you when looking for a registered agent service. With such a variety available, it can be overwhelming to new and veteran business owners alike.

Some services provide the basics, such as a legal point of contact and a registered address to receive Service of Process. Other West Virginia registered agents offer compliance alerts and document scanning, with some going as far as scanning every document they receive on your behalf. Some West Virginia registered agents also offer cheap LLC formation services, which could be a big plus.

And still, other services offer premium features like identity theft insurance as a part of their service package, so it’s important to rank each West Virginia registered agent according to the services they offer.

Factor 2: Value for Money

The range of services offered isn’t the only factor to consider when ranking West Virginia registered agents. The value each registered agent service provides for the money they charge is equally important.

Some West Virginia registered agents charge up to $299 per year for “premium” service that covers little more than the essential services. Other registered agents charge rates as low as $39 per year but leave the range of services vague and unclear.

It was during this part of my process that I discovered many registered agents charge prices in the $39–$59 per year range. Further investigation of these registered agents revealed that, although true at the onset, this price didn’t include the most essential services required from a registered agent. In order to get a basic level of service from these agents, you had to pay additional fees that could exceed $120.

Any West Virginia noncommercial or commercial registered agent I found using this unethical and deceptive pricing strategy was promptly removed from my list.

Factor 3: Ease of Sign-up

A frustrating, lengthy, or confusing sign-up process can deter customers from the best deals, so this was another important factor to consider when ranking the best registered agents in West Virginia.

To ensure you don’t waste precious time with confusing or frustrating sign-ups, I examined each registered agent’s process and took note of how complex they were. The more forms I had to fill out and the more challenges I encountered during the process, the lower that particular service ranked on my list.

Factor 4: Ease of Use

Easy sign-ups are a definite plus, but a complicated, poorly designed, or confusing system can be a dealbreaker for some, so it’s important to know which registered agents have user-friendly and intuitive systems.

To ensure that you don’t put a boot through your computer monitor, I looked into each registered agent’s online system and took notes of how many glitches or technical issues I encountered, while also taking note of the systems that were simple and intuitive.

More user-friendly systems that were free of technical issues resulted in higher rankings for the registered agents on this list.

Factor 5: Customer Service

Customer service and support can really affect the customer experience. To help you avoid changing a registered agent due to poor customer service, I used this as a factor for ranking each of the twelve best registered agents in West Virginia.

A good customer support team will resolve your issue promptly and politely with accuracy, whereas a poor customer service team can leave you confused or take hours to answer simple questions. I asked each registered agent service’s customer support team a series of fairly standard questions and rated each one based on how accurately and efficiently they were able to resolve my issues and answer my questions.

The Best West Virginia Registered Agent Results Summary

After investigating over 60 West Virginia noncommercial and commercial registered agent services and reviewing the top twelve, these are my recommendations for the three best registered agents in the state of West Virginia.

Best Overall Registered Agent—Northwest Registered Agent (9.13/10)

My top recommendation for your LLC or corporation’s registered agent for Service of Process is Northwest Registered Agent.

Northwest Registered Agent provides everything your business needs from a statutory agent, in addition to several additional perks that make it easy for your business to succeed. They offer compliance alerts to make keeping track of your filing dates a breeze and will give your business a registered office address and legal point of contact to accept Service of Process.

With Northwest Registered Agent, compliance with all the relevant laws and regulations of the West Virginia Secretary of State is made easy and worry free.

On top of that, Northwest Registered Agent also provides a US-based customer support team made up of former lawyers, business owners, and entrepreneurs who are available any time and offer expert level advice for any obstacle you encounter on your business adventures.

Northwest Registered Agent provides these services and more (an address in West Virginia, online document access, compliance filing alerts, mail forwarding, and ALL document scanning) for a rate of only $125 per year, and with multistate registration you’ll never need to change registered agents as your business expands into other states.

And with over 3,000 positive Northwest Registered Agent reviews online, there’s no way my experience was a fluke.

If you need a new registered agent and you want the overall best registered agent service available on the market, then check out Northwest Registered Agent today.

Best Budget Registered Agent—Harbor Compliance (7.92/10)

If you need to reduce costs for your LLC or corporation, or you are working with a limited budget, then Harbor Compliance is my most budget-friendly recommendation.

Harbor Compliance covers all the bases, offering your business a legal point of contact and acting as your business’s agent for Service of Process. They also provide the other necessities, such as a registered office address in West Virginia, as well as a compliance alert system and document scanning for all the legal documents and mail they receive on your behalf.

Harbor Compliance also provides an adequate customer support team, and overall offers a decent registered agent service, although they don’t particularly excel the way Northwest Registered Agent does.

They are still a great option, and the hundreds of positive Harbor Compliance reviews online prove just that.

If you’re on a limited budget or need to reduce costs for your LLC or corporation and are comfortable with fewer services than Northwest Registered Agent provides, then check out Harbor Compliance.

Best Premium Registered Agent—Legal Zoom (6.59/10)

If you prefer premium services and want the added benefit of identity theft protection, then LegalZoom is

the best recommendation for a premium registered agent.

Though LegalZoom charges a hefty $299 per year for their registered agent service, they will cover all the necessities (registered office address, agent for Service of Process, legal point of contact, etc.) and include a $1,000,000 identity theft insurance policy. With this policy, you can get some much-needed peace of mind when it comes to protecting your personal information.

LegalZoom’s biggest shortcoming is that their price isn’t fully justified by the services offered. You can often find comparable identity theft insurance available at rates lower than the $176 price difference between LegalZoom and Northwest Registered Agent.

Check out LegalZoom here.

In Conclusion

Finding the right registered agent for Service of Process is essential to your West Virginia business. Not only will the right registered agent help you keep your information off the public record, they are vital to keeping your business compliant with all the relevant laws and regulations established by the West Virginia Secretary of State.

To help you find the right service, I investigated over 60 noncommercial and commercial registered agent services in West Virginia and reviewed the top twelve through a four-stage process using five factors.

This process allowed me to conclude that Northwest Registered Agent is the best choice for your West Virginia business. They cover all the services needed from a resident agent or statutory agent and offer several services that go above the industry standard.

By signing up with Northwest Registered Agent, you gain the following services and more:

  • a registered address in the state of West Virginia to receive Service of Process and other legal notifications from the West Virginia Secretary of State
  • mail forwarding
  • same-day mail scanning
  • a database with all your scanned documents
  • alerts about important compliance dates (such as the filing date for your annual reports)

They provide all these services for a rate of only $125 per state per year, and their online system is incredibly easy to use and user-friendly. They also provide a US-based team of former lawyers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and accountants to assist you with any technical issues you encounter and offer you any advice for dealing with any obstacles you encounter on your business adventure.

Whether you’re considering changing registered agents or you’re a new business entity in need of a registered agent service, if you want the #1 registered agent service in West Virginia, check out Northwest Registered Agent today.

FAQ—Resident Agent and Statutory Agent

You’ve likely seen the words “resident agent” or “statutory agent” in the branding and advertisements from some registered agents in West Virginia. These terms don’t refer to a specific type of registered agent or a separate entity, they are merely older terms for what is now referred to as a registered agent.

Regardless of whether a service brands itself as a “resident agent” or “statutory agent,” you should expect them to at least give you the same basic services as any registered agent in West Virginia.
