The 10 Best LLC Services in New Hampshire Reviewed and Ranked

28/03/2024

Starting a New Hampshire business requires the best LLC service possible.

The right New Hampshire LLC service will ensure that all your paperwork and registrations will be completed and filed so that your business is running in a matter of days.

The wrong New Hampshire LLC service could take weeks or even months to get your business up and running because of a lack of necessary documentation and registrations.

I’ve analyzed and rated the top 17 limited liability company (LLC) services using a five-factor, four-stage process to help you find the best service. The following are the findings of my research into the best LLC formation services in New Hampshire.

1. Northwest Registered Agent: 9.45/10 (Best Overall LLC Service)

Northwest Registered Agent meets all the requirements of an LLC service at an affordable price and is the only LLC service provider in New Hampshire that also provides small business advice.

Pros

You’ll find a lot to appreciate with Northwest Registered Agent

It will file your formation documents with the New Hampshire Secretary of State and the New Hampshire Department of State Corporation Division and supply you with a year of free New Hampshire registered agent services, worry-free compliance with compliance notifications, and an easy-to-use online dashboard for reviewing and managing all your company’s legal documents.

A free accounting consultation to ensure your payment processing is set up properly, an operating agreement template, and a free 90-day trial of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service are included as well. You can also purchase additional services, like an employer identification number (EIN), a Certificate of Good Standing, and state-certified copies of your formation documents.

But Northwest Registered Agent’s Corporate Guides are what really sets it apart from the other New Hampshire LLC formation services.

Instead of providing the standard customer support team that’s barely equipped to help you reset your password and give you updates about your filing submissions, Northwest has a US-based team of former accountants, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who can answer any questions you have about the LLC formation process in New Hampshire, as well as questions about business operation and management.

Northwest is the only LLC formation service that provides this kind of guidance for small businesses, which is a huge perk given that other small business consulting firms may cost as much as $5,000/day.

You’d expect that for all this you’ll pay a hefty price, but that’s not the case with Northwest.

While its typical pricing of $225 is an excellent value for small businesses when you consider the essential small business advice you get, I was able to negotiate a special rate for BoostSuite readers. If you join up via my special sign-up page, you’ll get an 82% discount, bringing the total cost of your New Hampshire LLC formation services to $39, plus state filing fees.

Cons

The sole disadvantage of Northwest Registered Agent is that it doesn’t provide any premium services that assist you in establishing the online presence of your LLC in New Hampshire.

It’s true that other New Hampshire LLC formation services provide website setup tools with their premium services (often $299 or more), such as a free year of business domain name registration, Google advertising credits, and even a free website builder.

When you consider that Google provides new companies with a $500 advertising credit, it typically costs less than $12 to register a domain name, and premium website builders like Squarespace can cost as low as $15/month, you’ll be able to buy those add-ons with the money you save with Northwest and still come out ahead.

Overall

Northwest Registered Agent is my top pick for the best LLC service in New Hampshire because in addition to providing the essentials it has a US-based customer support team of experts that can guide you through the inevitable difficulties you’ll face.

Head to Northwest Registered Agent if you’re looking for the best LLC formation service, a company that will go above and beyond to help your limited liability company (LLC) in New Hampshire succeed, and you want an 82% discount.

2. ZenBusiness: 8.25/10 (Best Essentials LLC Service)

ZenBusiness offers the best price in the industry, but because it doesn’t offer small business advice or free registered agent service it will ultimately cost more.

Pros

ZenBusiness will supply everything you need to launch your LLC for $0 (plus state fees). It will check the information you included on your paperwork for accuracy, make sure your business name is available, and file your formation documents with the Secretary of State.

For $199, you’ll get expedited filing (four to six days) and assistance with your operating agreement with its Pro package, and with its $299 Premium package you’ll get rush filing (only one to two days), as well as a website-building tool, domain name, and email address.

If all of that weren’t enough, its customer service has extended weekday hours and is also available on Sundays.

Cons

ZenBusiness will cover all of the essential services you need to form your LLC for $0, but if you need anything else it will cost you. ZenBusiness doesn’t offer free registered agent service. That will cost you $199 per year.

Its customer service team can help you with things like changing your password, and they handle your inquiries expeditiously, but they can’t help you with advice about backend operations or give you tax advice.

Overall

For $0 ZenBusiness will cover all of the essentials necessary to establish your LLC. Its helpful customer service team is available during extended business hours to answer your questions, and it will go out of its way to make sure the information on your formation paperwork is correct, as well as filing your formation documents with the Secretary of State.

It will certainly cost you more in the long run if you need registered agent service, but it makes up for the extra cost with things like worry-free compliance and a 100% accuracy guarantee.

If you want a company that provides the basics and you don’t need registered agent service, learn more about ZenBusiness on its website

3. Harbor Compliance: 7.15/10 (Best Premium LLC Service)

When it comes to forming an LLC in New Hampshire, Harbor Compliance offers everything you need to get started.

Pros

Harbor Compliance ensures your business name is available, prepares and files your certificate of formation, provides you with an operating agreement template, helps you get your employer identification number (EIN), and offers you a complimentary year of New Hampshire registered agent service.

In addition, Harbor Compliance provides you with a personal mentor to help you through the LLC formation process.

You aren’t required to call a customer service team or email some anonymous helpline to get assistance. Instead, you call up your own personal Harbor Compliance representative who is familiar with your specific situation and can provide you with appropriate advice tailored to your LLC in New Hampshire.

Cons

That said, Harbor Compliance isn’t cheap.

Harbor Compliance’s $399 formation package and $700 Compliance package are twice as much as Northwest’s usual pricing, and 10 times more than the special deal price I’ve negotiated.

Is it truly worth the extra $360 to have a personal guide to help you through the LLC formation process? That’s a question you can only answer yourself.

Overall

Harbor Compliance may not be the best New Hampshire LLC service available, but it covers all the essentials and distinguishes itself from the competition by being the only company to provide a dedicated account manager.

Despite the fact that its $399 price tag is 10 times that of my special offer with Northwest Registered Agent, it’s still one of the best LLC services in New Hampshire.

Check out the website here if you want the assistance of a dedicated account manager and don’t mind paying for it.

4. Rocket Lawyer

Rocket Lawyer is well known for offering online legal services, but it also provides LLC formation services to customers in New Hampshire.

One of the nicests aspects of Rocket Lawyer’s LLC services is that it provides a service that no other New Hampshire LLC formation service does: legal services.

For $99, Rocket Lawyer provides a seven-day free trial of legal services. This subscription provides you with access to a large library of legal documents that you can customize to fit your needs, a 30-minute legal consultation on any topic, your legal documents reviewed by an attorney, and attorney protection if your documents are challenged for any reason.

Rocket Lawyer doesn’t provide any of the additional services that Northwest does. It doesn’t provide a year of free New Hampshire registered agent service (registered agent service costs $149.99), compliance alerts, accounting consultations, or VoIP services.

You can access all of Rocket Lawyer’s outstanding legal services without having to sign up for its expensive formation services by creating a free account.

Check out my Rocket Lawyer review if you want to read more about its services.

5. Swyft Filings

Swyft Filings, founded in 2012, is a relative newcomer to the LLC formation industry.

It provides a lot in its $49 (plus state filing fee) basic package. It’ll help you prepare your paperwork (like your certificate of formation and operating agreement) and submit it to the appropriate New Hampshire government agencies, offer you an online account to access your records, provide a 30-minute business tax consultation, and even provide a year of business domain name registration for free.

However, unlike Northwest Registered Agent, Swyft Filings does not provide a complimentary year of New Hampshire Registered agent services. Because it charges $149 each year for registered agent service, it will only cost you much more in the long run.

Read my Swyft Filings review for a more complete analysis of its services.

6. MyCompanyWorks

MyCompanyWorks is rather inconsistent.

For $79 (plus state filing fee), it will draft and submit the certificate of formation for you in New Hampshire, assist with your operating agreement, provide you with an online account to access your business documents, and notify you of any filing deadlines for compliance (like your annual reports).

But there is a disadvantage.

The premium package is the only package to include a complimentary year of New Hampshire registered agent service and an office address for your LLC in New Hampshire, but it costs a whopping $279. MyCompanyWorks is a poor option when compared to Northwest Registered Agent, which costs $39 and provides a year of free registered agent service along with a physical address in New Hampshire.

7. Inc Authority

Inc Authority is another LLC service that looks like it should fall under the “cheap” category, but it’s anything but.

It will assist you in preparing and filing the appropriate documents (certificate of formation, etc.), but you will be charged exorbitant fees for everything else.

The basic package includes an operating agreement, EIN application help, and a business seal for $399 (plus state filing fees). A complimentary year of registered agent service (including a registered agent’s name and a business address in New Hampshire) is exclusive to the $799 premium package.

Even if you have no money and only need to submit your documents, ZenBusiness is the superior solution in this instance.

8. Incorporate Fast

Incorporate Fast is an LLC formation service expert whose basic package costs $99 (plus state fees).

This package consists of the filing of your certificate of formation with the New Hampshire Secretary of State, a year of free registered agent service (including a registered agent in New Hampshire to accept documents and service of process during normal business hours, and a business address in the state), help with your operating agreement, and sample documents you may need to establish your business entity in New Hampshire.

It doesn’t provide any premium service offerings or extras, like business tax assessment or online document storage, but with its $199 basic package it’ll assist you in obtaining an EIN for your New Hampshire LLC.

Its main distinction is that it processes every new business filing on the same day it receives it. This is a perk that other New Hampshire LLC services don’t offer, so if you’re in a hurry to set up your business entity and want to pay more for less, check them out.

But if you just want a great deal and lots of extra features, Northwest Registered Agent is the way to go.

9. BizFilings

BizFilings is another LLC formation service in New Hampshire whose basic package costs $99 (plus state fees).

This bundle covers the filing of your legal documents with the proper New Hampshire government agencies and a year of complimentary registered agent service (including a registered agent in New Hampshire to accept legal documents and service of process, and a physical street address in the state), and compliance alerts to remind you about your annual report.

BizFilings does not provide any further services, such as business tax assessment, an online portal to access your documents, or help with your operating agreement, so you’re paying much more for significantly less.

10. LegalZoom

LegalZoom follows the trend of offering a $99 basic package with subpar features. LegalZoom will assist you in filing your certificate of formation and supply a banking resolution so that you can open a business bank account for your LLC in New Hampshire.

If you’re currently using LegalZoom’s legal or registered agent services (which will supply you with a registered agent to accept mail and service of process for your business), and you want all your business concerns to be handled by one company, you may want to consider using LegalZoom for your LLC formation. However, there is little need to use LegalZoom for your LLC formation alone.

Other LLC Services

The other seven New Hampshire LLC formation services that I looked at as part of my research were worthy of recommendation, so I didn’t feel they required detailed analysis, either. In no particular order, here they are.

11. Incorporate.com

Incorporate.com provides a $99 basic package with limited features. It’ll assist you with filing your certificate of formation and provide online document storage, but that’s it. It doesn’t provide registered agent service for your LLC in New Hampshire, or compliance alerts for annual reports.

12. CorpNet

CorpNet’s LLC formation services cost $108 (plus state fee) and include filing your formation documents with the New Hampshire Secretary of State and providing compliance notifications for your annual reports, but that’s it. You won’t get anything like registered agent service (to accept mail and service of process on behalf of your LLC in New Hampshire) or business tax assessment.

13. MyCorporation

MyCorporation charges $133 (plus state fees) to file your formation documents and help you create your operating agreement. So, you’re paying an exorbitant amount of money for an LLC service and won’t even get registered agent service with that package.

14. Direct Incorporation

Direct Incorporation adds to the services offered by MyCorporation by also supplying a banking resolution and helping you obtain an EIN for your LLC in New Hampshire. The downside is that it charges $147 (plus state fees), and you don’t even get registered agent service for that price.

15. InCorp

InCorp costs $117 (plus state fees) for filing your certificate of formation and assisting with your operating agreement. Every additional service you choose for your New Hampshire LLC entails an additional fee.

Check out my complete InCorp review to learn more about its services.

16. Nationwide Incorporations

Nationwide Incorporations provides the same minimal services as MyCorporation (no registered agent services to accept legal paperwork and service of process during normal business hours or compliance alerts) for $200 (plus state fees).

17. SunDoc Filings

SunDoc Filings’ basic package is limited to the submission of your certificate of formation for $79 (plus state filing fee). The $99 Key package includes assistance with your operating agreement, while the $279 premier package includes assistance with filing your EIN. None of these packages include registered agent services or compliance alerts about annual reports for your New Hampshire LLC.

The Best New Hampshire LLC Service Review Summary

Northwest Registered Agent is the best option among the leading New Hampshire LLC services for the majority of businesses.

Its $39 (plus state fee) basic package includes all the essentials for starting a New Hampshire LLC, and the advice and assistance offered by the Corporate Guides may cost up to $5,000 per day if you hire a consulting firm instead.

Northwest Registered Agent is the place to go if you’re ready to establish a business in New Hampshire and want all the essentials handled by experienced experts, as well as help and advice for conquering business obstacles. So if you want the best New Hampshire LLC formation service, head over to Northwest Registered Agent today.

Best LLC Service Review Methodology

This is how I chose the best LLC service providers in New Hampshire.

Why You Should Trust Me

You should rely on my recommendations for LLC formation services since I have more experience and knowledge in the LLC industry than nearly anyone else.

My experience began when I used three distinct LLC formation services to establish my three businesses in New Hampshire. Yes, I used three separate services since the other two didn’t provide the assistance I needed. (I won’t identify them because they’ve considerably improved since I used them, and I don’t think you should make judgments based on outdated information.)

The third service, which was employed to launch this website, has offered considerably more than I ever anticipated from an LLC provider and far more value than I paid for. Therefore, Northwest Registered Agent is my top suggestion for an LLC service in New Hampshire.

However, my experience is not restricted to these three services. I have much expertise assisting people in selecting the best LLC formation service for their new business entities in New Hampshire. Since founding BoostSuite, I’ve guided over a thousand customers in finding the right LLC service for their new company, and I’ve heavily researched the industry to do so.

How I Selected the Best LLC Service

My method for finding the best LLC formation service consisted of four steps.

Stage 1: Reviews

The initial step in finding the best New Hampshire LLC services was to examine online reviews of the industry’s leading companies. There’s a long history, at least among the most popular formation services, of encouraging their clients to leave online reviews. As a result, some services have more than 4,500 online reviews!

Analyzing reviews enabled me to evaluate the quality of various business formation services and exclude those that did not achieve a minimum performance level.

Stage 2: Website Analysis

After eliminating inefficient business formation services and developing an overall impression of each provider, I visited each website. I logged on, read their headlines and titles, and attempted to learn about each company based on its claims and declarations.

This enabled me to comprehend the key formation services offered by each company, as well as how it expressed its market position and offerings.

Stage 3: Speaking With Real Customers

Once I saw how the company attempted to position itself, the next step was to determine whether or not it was capable of living up to its promises. This may occasionally be accomplished by reading online reviews. However, because most individuals only publish online reviews after experiences that made them either excessively happy or excessively angry, the findings tend to be skewed.

These reviews ensured that I got a comprehensive and nuanced grasp of how other customers viewed their experiences with each LLC formation company. I then sought out clients I could actually speak with to learn about their experiences.

To determine the advantages and disadvantages of their experiences, I called friends who had used a business formation service, reached out to individuals that I had referred, and chatted with website visitors.

This provided me with a comprehensive and detailed picture of what it was like to use each service and helped me pick the best New Hampshire LLC services.

Stage 4: Speaking With Their Sales Teams

The last stage of my investigation was to call their sales and customer service departments and press them for answers.

I compiled input obtained from my online review research and conversations with customers, and I pushed their customer support teams for responses to the critiques that had been made.

This stage enabled me to evaluate how each company handled criticism and negative comments.

Rating Factors

After completing my four-stage analysis, I then rated each company according to these five factors.

Factor 1: Offerings

The first factor I looked at was the services of each company.

Some New Hampshire LLC formation services will only assist with the certificate of formation and then boot you out unless you pay more for other essential services. Other New Hampshire LLC services will provide you with an accountant consultation, registered agent services, online document access, and assistance with your operating agreement.

The difference in the LLC formation services offered by each company prompted me to begin my evaluation here.

Factor 2: Price

The pricing was the second factor I considered while selecting the best LLC service. Some services begin at $0 (excluding state fees), while others will not allow you through their virtual door for less than $399.

The cost of these services, or rather the cost per service, was the second factor I considered while ranking the services, in conjunction with the significant disparity in services offered.

Factor 3: Ease of Sign-Up

Sign-up simplicity was the third factor I considered while evaluating these services.

Some New Hampshire LLC services have legacy systems that seem to have been constructed in the late 1990s and designed in a high school programming class. While some other LLC services in New Hampshire offer sophisticated, simple, and user-friendly systems that make starting an LLC effortless.

I studied each company’s sign-up process to find which took the least amount of work and mental energy to complete.

Factor 4: Ease of Use

Any design and operating difficulties aren’t typically resolved with the sign-up process. In the majority of instances, design and functionality concerns during the sign-up process extend throughout the onboarding phase.

Some LLC providers in New Hampshire provide pre-filled forms including all the necessary information and requiring just a signature from you. Other LLC service providers in New Hampshire merely supply blank forms (despite having all the important information) and require you to enter the same information 11 times.

No one likes to spend more time than necessary on paperwork, ESPECIALLY when starting a company. Therefore, evaluating the ease of use of each New Hampshire LLC service was crucial.

Factor 5: Customer Service

Customer service was the last factor I considered while rating each New Hampshire LLC service. This was another area in which I saw a LARGE difference in the value offered.

Some LLC services have headquartered their support teams in other countries and staffed them with inadequately educated locals who lack US business expertise.

And some LLC services, such as Northwest Registered Agent, have US-based support teams made up of former lawyers, accountants, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who have enough professional experience to assist you in overcoming the obstacles your New Hampshire LLC faces and advise you on the ideal solution.

My fifth and final rating criterion was based on this significant disparity in customer assistance value.

In Conclusion

Northwest Registered Agent covers all the essentials, such as assisting you in preparing and filing the necessary legal documents with the appropriate New Hampshire government agencies, providing an online portal where your documents are saved, and offering a free year of registered agent services for your New Hampshire LLC.

Northwest’s US-based support staff will not only answer questions you have regarding the LLC formation process, but their personal experiences as former accountants, attorneys, small business owners, and entrepreneurs enable them to guide you through the inevitable obstacles you will encounter along the way.

Despite its lack of support in growing your online presence, with the 82% discount ($39 plus state fees) offered exclusively to BoostSuite readers, you’ll have enough money leftover to use one of the premium website builders.

If you’re ready to jump into the business world and form your LLC, visit Northwest Registered Agent now.
