During spring and summer when the weather is warmer in the northern states, fewer tourists are present.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This means that micro-enterprises have to prepare for the lean months by wisely allocating their earnings from the busy season, typically regarded as the time between Thanksgiving and Easter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are statistics on small businesses in the state of Florida:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>There are 2.5 million small businesses, that\u2019s 99.8% of all businesses in the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"2\">\n<li>Micro-enterprises employ 41.6% of all private-sector employees.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"3\">\n<li>88% of employer businesses are small firms that employ fewer than 20 people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"4\">\n<li>There are 3,494,174 people employed by micro-enterprises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"5\">\n<li>SME exports account for 63% of all state exports.This is higher than the national average, which stands at 33%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"6\">\n<li>According to WalletHub, Florida ranks sixth in the country among the best states to start a business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"7\">\n<li>Since the third quarter of 2014, the state ranked first in the number of new business applications in the United States.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"8\">\n<li>Florida has a 50.2% start-up success rate.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"9\">\n<li>The accommodation and food services industry has the largest share (14.9%) of small business employees in the state, a total of 520,601.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"10\">\n<li>The mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction sector has 1,598 small business employees making it the smallest industry in the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"11\">\n<li>Florida state law requires that every new <a href=\"https:\/\/boostsuite.com\/how-to-start-an-llc\/florida\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"20925\">Florida LLC<\/a> designate a&nbsp;<a class=\"rank-math-link\" href=\"https:\/\/boostsuite.com\/best-registered-agent\/best-registered-agent-florida\/\">Florida registered agent<\/a> that will be available during regular business hours at a physical address within the state.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"12\">\n<li>The cost for acquiring a business license is $125.
