Use testimonials to optimize your page content

|

We all know that testimonials carry a lot of weight in marketing your product or service.  Word of mouth has always been an extremely powerful persuasion tool and a testimonial on your web site can act in the same way if it comes from a reputable, trustworthy source.  Not only can the testimonial be read by your website visitors, it can also be read by the search engines!

If you were optimizing your webpage for the keyword “basketball shoes”, then you should consider adding a testimonial to the page that references the keyword.  For example, “Your company provides the best basketball shoes around.  Great quality and super comfortable!”.  Not only does this create some relevant, optimized text on the page, but it also changes the overall flow of the page and draws in the eye.

By following these rules, you can create optimized content without sounding “robotic” or repetitive.  Testimonials are a great way to show your website visitors how wonderful your products and services really are!  They don’t have to take YOUR word for it when they can take the word of a delighted customer instead.
