Experience and focus

After graduating from the College of William & Mary Law School in 1987, Evan H. Farr began his career at a small general-practice firm in Fairfax, Virginia. In 1991, he founded the Farr Law Firm, P.C., and gradually transformed his practice from general estate planning into a highly specialized elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid asset protection firm serving Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the DC metro area.

Evan’s day-to-day work focuses on helping clients preserve dignity, quality of life, and financial security as they age. His firm designs integrated plans that combine revocable and irrevocable trusts, LLCs, long-term care strategies, special needs planning, and tax-aware wealth transfer tools. A large portion of his caseload involves helping families qualify for Medicaid or Veterans Aid & Attendance benefits without being forced to spend down everything they own.

Beyond elder law, Evan works extensively with business owners and real-estate investors on LLC formation, business-transition planning, and liability protection. By combining LLC structures with advanced asset protection trusts, he helps clients segregate business risks, shield personal assets from creditors, and plan for long-term care costs without derailing retirement or inheritance goals.

How Boost Suite uses Evan’s expertise

Boost Suite writes independent guides on LLC formation, asset protection and long term care planning. To make sure our explanations stay aligned with real world practice, we rely on the published work of leading practitioners. Evan H. Farr works directly with founder Aaron Kra and his editorial team to stress-test our most complex compliance guides.

On Boost Suite, Evan’s expertise is used in three ways:

  • His books and legal treatises help us frame complex topics such as Medicaid asset protection trusts, Living Trust Plus style planning and business owner liability protection.
  • His long running Everything Elder Law blog and CLE materials are part of the expert sources we consult when we double check definitions, typical strategies and common pitfalls.
  • When a page has been reviewed for general legal coherence with input from Evan H. Farr, this is clearly indicated near the top of the article so readers know that an external elder law specialist has checked the high level structure.

Boost Suite does not provide legal advice and reading our content does not create an attorney client relationship with Evan H. Farr or with his firm. Our role is to translate complex legal mechanisms into plain English so that business owners can ask better questions to their own attorney or advisor.
